Shawnn Monteiro (Vocals)
Rhode Island based Shawnn Monteiro is regarded as one of the premier jazz song stylists currently performing today. Shawnn splits her tour schedule between the U.S. and Europe where she has been highly in demand over the past few years. Her most recent recording "One Special Night" was a live recording at a sold-out Sculler's jazz club in Boston and featured John Harrison on piano, Jimmy Cobb on drums, her Godfather Clark Terry on trumpet and her late father Jimmy Woode who was the Bassist for Duke Ellington's band. Greg Abate (Alto Saxophone)
Greg is widely considered among jazz writers and aficionados to be one of the "best post bebop alto players" on the scene today. In the early 70s, Greg did a two year stint playing lead alto with the Ray Charles Orchestra. In the mid 1980s, he held the jazz tenor chair in the revived Artie Shaw Orchestra under the direction of Dick Johnson. Today Greg performs throughout the United States, in Canada and Europe, 150 plus days a year on the road. Having attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music (Boston, MA) in 1971, Greg is listed among the school's prominent alumni. Greg Hopkins (Trumpet/Flugelhorn)
Greg has been teaching at the Berklee College of Music since 1974 - the year the London Times called him "a real find" for the Buddy Rich Orchestra. From 1969 to 1974 he toured nationally and internationally, appearing at the Newport, Monterey, and other major jazz festivals. Hopkins has also performed with Dizzy Gillespie, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder, Joe Williams, Tony Bennett, the Supremes, Burt Bacharach, Nancy Wilson, Lou Rawls, Mitzi Gaynor, Michel Legrand, Johnny Mathis, Shirley Maclame, Marvin Hamlisch, and Lena Home, as well as the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops, and the Boston Brass Ensemble. Greg continues his busy teaching schedule as Professor of Jazz Composition at Berklee. Leah Souza Quartet

Leah Souza is 23 years old and one of the area's brightest, rising stars. Leah appears regularly with her band at top jazz venues throughout Boston and New England. She performs her stylish interpretations of jazz standards with a signature delivery that is soulful and powerful. Her interpretation of Horace Silver's "Song For My Father" that she recorded on Johnny Souza's "Meet Me in the City" CD was critically acclaimed and has received airplay on radio stations across the country. Steve Marvin (Vocals)
Steve is one of the premier jazz singers on the scene today. Steve has performed with top name big bands and jazz combos throughout the country since the 60's. Cadence magazine had to say of Steve: "Steve Marvin is a classic child of bebop. He can sing straight but also reel off vocalese lyrics with speed and style as well as Torme, Murphy or any of the other big names. He has performed internationally including the Blue Note ,Paris; La Pepistrano, Rome; Bodegatron Jazz Club, Tel Aviv; and the Jazz Cafe, Barcelona. Herb Pomeroy Quartet
(Herb Pomeroy/Trumpet, Paul Schmeling/Piano, John Repucci/Bass & Artie Cabral/Drums)
Herb performed in the bands of Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington, Lionel Hampton and Stan Kenton before returning to Boston and forming his own big band in 1955. Herb's big band was internationally renowned and worked regularly in the Northeast and New England and even played at the original Birdland in 1957. Mr. Pomeroy is perhaps best known as America's foremost jazz educator. For many decades, he was a faculty member of the Berklee College of Music where he taught arranging and conducted the world-renowned Berklee Recording Band.   His students are among the most famous and well-respected performers, arrangers, composers, educators and leaders in the music industry.

Kenny Wenzel (Trombone/Flute)

Kenny is an extremely talented multi-instrumentalist who is proficient on a number of instruments including: trombone, flute, trumpet, flugelhorn, bass guitar and piano. He has performed with many of the top names in a number of different musical styles including jazz, swing, blues & pop. Kenny has toured with The Woody Herman Band, The Artie Shaw Orchestra, Mighty Sam McClain, K.C. and the Sunshine Band and Peter Frampton. This will be an exciting night of music - not to be missed!

Gray Sargent (Guitar)

Gray is a native of the Boston area who performs guitar with Tony Bennett on all his tours and recordings. Sargent was an established worldwide touring artist before he hooked up with Bennett in 1997, Sargent's association with Bennett grew from a series of chance encounters during the stint with the Dave McKenna Quartet in and around Boston. Ralph Sharon, Bennett's pianist for four decades, is enthusiastic in his praise for Sargent. "Tony heard him playing in a club and told me about him: 'You should really listen to this guy,'" he recalls. "We booked him to do a couple of engagements with us and he just fit right in. Jerry Seeco (Trumpet/Vocals/Flute)

Jerry is an Assistant Professor at Berklee where he teaches arranging, vocal ensembles, and directs the Berklee Jazz Flute Ensemble. Jerry has performed with and arranged for numerous big bands in the New England area. His lengthy performing credits include the jazz trumpet chair in Buddy Morrow's Orchestra. Jerry is a highly respected jazz singer and his talents also span a number of instruments, including trumpet, flute, tenor sax, and trombone.

Anna Callahan (Vocals/Trumpet)

Anna is an award-winning arranger, vocalist and trumpeter. Anna is the author of "The Collegiate A Cappella Arranging Manual", published by Hal Leonard and considered the standard text on the subject. In Los Angeles, Anna taught Vocal Jazz at California State University at Long Beach where she led award-winning ensembles before she left to concentrate on performing. Anna splits her time performing at Jazz clubs throughout New England andin the  Los Angeles area. Anna's two recordings as leader have received critical acclaim and continued national airplay. Dick Johnson (Woodwinds)
Dick has been on the jazz scene since the late 1940s, in reed sections of the top big bands, as a small group leader, and for the past 22 years as director of the Artie Shaw Orchestra. Dick has performed with numerous artists including Buddy Rich, Dizzy Gillespie, Dave McKenna, Marion McPartland and others. Dick has number of recordings as leader to his credit on the Concord Jazz label. Dick was named by Benny Goodman as one of his favorite clarinet players. In 2005 Dick was asked to perform an unaccompanied clarinet solo at the funeral of Artie Shaw. For more information visit

Ron Gill (Vocals)
Ron has been part of the Boston jazz scene for more than thirty years, performing in concerts and on radio, television and variety shows. Ron sings jazz standards and show tunes, highlighting an impressive knowledge of the American songbook. In the mid-70's, Gill toured with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, directed by Mercer Ellington. Ron joined WGBH Radio 89.7FM as a host of Jazz Gallery in 1989. Mr. Gill is the current President of the

Patricia Adams (Vocals)
Patricia Adams regularly performs to capacity crowds at jazz venues in New York and throughout New England. Adams' recording "Out Of This World" (2001) placed in four categories on the 2001 Grammy Awards ballot. She has been compared to Lena Horne by the Boston Globe. Stu Vandermark of Cadence Magazine had this to say about Patricia: "Ms. Adams knows about words.The young vocal starlets of the Jazz world today seem to pick up the chestnuts for the first time out of the fake book.  But Patricia Adams had these items for breakfast and lunch as a child, living and breathing before some of those tunes saw sunlight.  And so when she offers "Ev'ry Time We Say Goodbye", the patina of World War II comes with it.  No gimmicks.  Just really good music. Johnny Souza (Trumpet/Flugelhorn/Vocals) Trumpeter/Vocalist/Composer Johnny Souza is an alumnus of Berklee College of Music where he majored in music performance and studied with instructors including: John LaPorta, Wes Hensel and Mike Metheny. Johnny led his own popular, commercial dance band performing throughout the 80's at nightclubs and events up and down the east coast. Johnny now performs jazz exclusively and has two recordings as leader to his credit. Comprised of jazz standards along with Johnny's original compositions, these recordings have received a high level of airplay on jazz radio across the country.
Ray Santisi (Piano)
Ray Santisi is an internationally renowned jazz pianist who has performed with Charlie Parker, Stan Getz, Buddy DeFranco, Gabor Szabo, Benny Golsen, Mel Torme, Chet Baker, Natalie Cole and many others. He has recorded on major labels such as Capitol, United Artists, Roulette and Sonnet.  Ray is also a career educator having been on the faculty at Berklee College of Music since the 50's and teaching at Stan Kenton's summer jazz clinics. Some of the world's most celebrated jazz pianists have studied with Ray at Berklee. Ray is also a published author for studies in piano jazz and has received grants for composition and performance from the National Endowment for the Arts.
Marshall Wood (Bass)
Born in Omaha, Nebraska and raised in Washington, D.C., Marshall moved to New England in 1979, where he quickly became one of the most sought after bassists in the area. His reputation as a swinging and sensitive musician landed him recording dates with Anita O'Day, Monty Alexander, Tommy Flanagan, Dave McKenna, Ruby Braff, Scott Hamilton, and Gray Sargent. He has also performed in top jazz festivals in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and South America, and has toured with Tony Bennett.
Gene Roma (Drums)
Gene Roma's professional travel has taken him all over the USA, Europe and Asia. Over the years Gene has spent a good portion of his musical career performing with Broadway shows and tours. In addition Gene has toured with Woody Herman, Maureen McGovern, Gilbert O'Sullivan and Engelbert Humperdink. Also notable are Gene's performances with Frank Sinatra, The Buddy Rich Band, Tony Bennett, Count Basie, Lionel Hampton, The Boston Pops and The Boston Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Conductor Seiji Ozawa. Gene teaches percussion at Milton Academy and resides in Cohasset, MA with his wife, Conductor Janet Glazener Roma.
