Johnny's Concert Presentation and History of the Great American Songbook Johnny and his quartet deliver a 2 hour concert presentation of the Great American
Songbook. During this interactive concert Johnny not only performs great American
classic songs, but he also presents an interesting history of each song with
information on the composer(s), dates of publications and shows or movies
in which they were first featured. Most of these songs have a fascinating history
as do their composers including: George & Ira Gershwin, Harold Arlen, Hoagy
Carmichael, Irving Berlin, Harry Warren, Jerome Kern, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington,
Billy Strayhorn, Johnny Mercer, Richard Rogers, Jimmy Van Heusen, Burton
